
CARMEN GRACIA
born in Mendoza, Argentina, is a fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers and of the Printmakers Council of Grait Britain.
Studied painting and sculpture at the School of Fine Arts, Mendoza, in 1960 going to Paris to learn engraving and etching at l'Atelier 17 under Stanley William Hayter until 1964. Then awarded a British Council Scholarship to continue her studies at the Slade School of Art, University of London, under Anthony Gross. Subseyuently, at the initation of the Gulbenkian Foundation, taught engraving at the Co-operative Society of Portuguese Engravers, Lisbon and in 1967 awarded a Scholarship by the Norwegian shipowner AF Klaveness to work at Atelier Nord in Oslo. Has been resident in England since 1969.

Since 1962, has participated in more than 160 group exhibitions (including International Biennales) in Abu Dhabi, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Gibraltar, Iceland, Japan, Libya, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, United States, Venezuela, Wales, West Germany and Yugoslavia, some of the more recent being:
